Zewdu Alem, Esquire, a Harvard alum, is the firm’s founder and principal senior attorney. Mr. Alem graduated with an advanced degree in public administration from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, and also graduated from the international tax program at Harvard Law School. Mr. Alem studied law with a concentration in securities and corporate litigations, and obtained a graduate degree from Northwestern Law School in Chicago. He is licensed in Maryland and New York, and can litigate cases in front of the United States Supreme Court as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Court of Maryland.
Mr. Alem is a highly respected litigator who zealously represents each of his clients to the fullest extent allowed by law. Over the years, Mr. Alem has successfully litigated hundreds of civil and criminal cases and helped his clients obtain significant compensation or retain their freedom. His practice includes medical malpractice, personal injury, business transactions, complex commercial arbitrations, bankruptcy, criminal defense, family law, estate planning, and national security law. He is a member of a select group of organizations, including: the American Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys' Association, and the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland.
Mr. Alem lives in Montgomery County, Maryland with his beautiful wife, Meaza, and their three sons, Abem, Noah and Lucas. In addition to spending time with his family, Mr. Alem is active in community volunteer activities and enjoys traveling as well as bike riding in his leisure time.
